Speed Queen Washer Delivered

The new Speed Queen washer was delivered and installed on Friday, August 4, 2017. It went very smoothly and quickly.

Imaging Associates: Vein Ablation Follow -Up - Jane's Leg Has Healed

August 3, 2017: Jane went for her scheduled three-month follow-up at Imaging Associates for her saphenous vein ablation on her right leg. The shin wound/hematoma/scab has finally healed to the point where a bandage is not needed now. She is to wear a pressure sock.

The Wound Care Chronology

August 10th, 2017 -- routine visit to Kathy Knutson for an INR test. Leg still healed.

Washing Machine Shopping

Jane is unhappy with her GE washer. It seems that the "energy savings" mandates by the government don't allow for a truly hot cycle and thus her socks and such "don't seem to get really clean." She is considering a Speed Queen model. We went to the Allen and Peterson showroom on Tuesday, July 26, 2017.

Progress on Leg Wound Healing Process

July 5, 2017. The wound seems to have two raw spots now.

July 12, 2017. Unfortunately, Jane's leg was accidentally kicked under the dinner table at a social get-together and you can see where a new bruise/wound has developed at the upper right area.

July 17, 2017. Measuring the size of the closing wound. We are doing all the cleaning and dressing ourselves.

July 22, 2017. The wound is looking a lot better. Hopefully it will be healed on as I'm due to go back to Dallas in August.

July 26, 2017 at an appointment in Kathy Knutson's office. Jane weighed 109. The wound is smaller and the surround skin below is very dry.

Financial Advisement Sessions with David Bledsoe

David Bledsoe worked on our financial plans yesterday and today, July 13 and 14, 2017. I helped locate and deliver the documents he needed, from mom's many filing spots.

Leg Hematoma Slowly Healing -- New Wound

The home nurse officially discharged Jane today. We have been instructed on administering her wound care ourselves, starting last week.

Unfortunately, Jane got accidentally kicked on the shiner (under the dinner table by another diner) at a party on Sunday, July  9th, and got a new bruise/sore on her shin to the right of the original wound.
